Assessment is part of PathKEY, but PathKEY is broader than a single assessment.

Rather than relying on one framework or one perspective, PathKEY brings together different kinds of insight and connects them into a multidimensional view of the person. Those insights can then be applied to different questions — from career direction and development to talent, roles and teams.

Many assessments are designed to examine a particular dimension — personality, interests, strengths or another aspect of the individual.

PathKEY brings multiple perspectives together. It combines established frameworks such as RIASEC and the Big Five with selected Human Design for Business insights and contextual information.

The goal is not to produce one definitive "truth" about a person, but to create a richer set of insights from which better questions, conversations and decisions can emerge.

PathKEY is designed for both individuals and professionals working with people.

Individuals can use PathKEY to explore career direction, strengths, working preferences and development. Coaches and consultants can use it to deepen their work with clients. Organizations can apply PathKEY to career development, outplacement, talent and role alignment, leadership and team development.

PathKEY brings together several complementary perspectives.

RIASEC provides a structured view of vocational interests. The Big Five adds insight into broad personality and behavioral tendencies. Selected Human Design for Business elements provide an additional, non-self-reported perspective on natural tendencies. Contextual information helps make those insights relevant to the person's situation and the question being explored.

Each perspective serves a different purpose and is processed through its own methodology before insights are connected.

There is an important distinction here.

PathKEY incorporates established frameworks such as RIASEC and the Big Five, which have substantial research foundations in vocational psychology and personality research.

PathKEY also incorporates Human Design for Business as a complementary interpretive perspective. Human Design does not have the same scientific evidence base as established psychological frameworks such as RIASEC and the Big Five, and we do not present it as a scientifically validated psychometric assessment.

We believe being clear about these distinctions is part of using different methodologies responsibly.

Most assessments depend on how people respond to questions about themselves. That information can be valuable, but self-reporting is naturally influenced by experience, circumstances and self-perception.

Human Design for Business gives PathKEY an additional perspective that does not depend on questionnaire responses. We use selected elements to explore natural tendencies around areas such as contribution, decision-making, interaction and ways of working.

It does not replace psychological assessment, predict performance or determine what someone can or cannot become. It is used as a complementary perspective alongside other inputs.

PathKEY is designed to expand understanding, not prescribe a person's future. It does not diagnose people, determine ability or decide which career, role or life choice someone must pursue.

Its purpose is to surface relevant patterns, possibilities and questions that can support better-informed decisions.

AI helps PathKEY connect, contextualize and communicate complex information.

The underlying assessment results are not invented by AI. Inputs are first processed through defined scoring models, rules and methodologies. AI can then support the synthesis and contextualization of those insights for the question being explored.

We see AI as an intelligence layer that supports the process — not as a replacement for methodology or human judgment.

No.

PathKEY is designed to support human decision-making, not automate it. AI does not decide whether someone should be hired, promoted, moved into a role or pursue a particular career.

Especially in organizational contexts, PathKEY insights should be considered alongside experience, skills, interviews, professional judgment and the wider context.

PathKEY should inform a decision — never become the decision.

PathKEY is built in Europe with privacy by design and GDPR principles embedded into how personal information is handled.

We aim to collect only the information needed for the intended purpose and treat personal insight as information that deserves particular care.

Privacy, responsible AI, methodological transparency and human oversight are core principles in how we are building the platform.

PathKEY Career is a personalized report designed to help people understand themselves more deeply in relation to work and career.

It explores areas such as career interests, personality and behavioral tendencies, strengths, natural ways of working, interaction and communication, decision-making and potential career directions.

Rather than giving you a single career answer, it provides multiple perspectives you can use to explore where and how you may thrive. A dedicated version is also available for students and young adults under 25.

The online assessment typically takes around 15–20 minutes.

Once the required information has been completed, your responses are processed to create your personalized PathKEY Career Report.

A PathKEY Career Report is typically 40+ pages, bringing together different dimensions of the individual's profile into one integrated view.

The exact content may vary depending on the report version and the sections included.

PathKEY Career reports are normally delivered digitally within 24 hours after the required assessment and information have been completed.

Yes.

You can purchase your own PathKEY Career Report and explore it independently. Coaching is not required.

If you later want deeper interpretation or support translating your insights into career decisions or action, you can choose to work with a certified PathKEY professional.

A single personalized PathKEY Career Report is €150.

Certified PathKEY professionals access reports through the Partner Platform under separate professional pricing and report-pack arrangements.

No. Your report remains yours to return to.

Some of the perspectives it contains explore relatively stable tendencies, while the meaning you take from those insights can naturally evolve as your experience, circumstances and self-awareness change.

No. PathKEY certification and an individual ICF credential are separate qualifications.

Some PathKEY professionals are ICF-credentialed coaches, while others come from consulting, HR, talent, learning and development, career development or related professional backgrounds.

Alignment Key's PathKEY Level 1 Certification program has been approved for 16 ICF Continuing Coach Education credits: 11 Core Competency and 5 Resource Development credits.

Yes. Organizational applications are an important part of the PathKEY platform.

PathKEY can support career navigation and reskilling, outplacement, talent and role alignment, coaching, leadership development and team development.

The objective is not simply to provide more assessment data, but to translate human insight into intelligence that can support better people decisions.

PathKEY can provide an additional perspective for talent and role-alignment conversations, but it should not be used as a standalone hiring or employment decision tool.

Role fit is contextual. PathKEY insights should be considered alongside relevant experience, skills, interviews, organizational needs and professional judgment.

PathKEY Team brings individual PathKEY insights together into team-level Scenario Dashboards.

PathKEY AI is designed to make professionals better equipped, not unnecessary.

It can help process information, identify relevant connections and prepare for conversations, but it cannot replace the relationship, context, questioning, judgment and human presence that good coaching and consulting require.

Level 3 — Certified Pro-Consultant — Coming Next

Each level builds on the capabilities developed in the previous stage.

Yes. The certification journey is progressive, with each level building on the methodology and professional application developed at the previous level.

Yes. PathKEY Certification includes live learning and professional application.

Live participation is an important part of the certification process because the program goes beyond learning report content. Participants develop interpretation and application skills through discussion, practice and interaction with trainers.

Recordings may be made available as learning support, but they do not replace the live-attendance requirements for certification.

Programs are delivered by approved PathKEY Trainers who have completed the required trainer preparation and certification process.
